Privacy Policy
Introduction
Our commitment to privacy is set out in this section. We collect, use and may disclose personal information on the terms and conditions set out in this Privacy Policy. This includes using your personal data and information to help us improve our products and services and getting in touch with you to let you know about goods, services or promotions that may interest you. Neither we nor you will use or disclose personal information, as defined within the Privacy Act (1993), of other parties unless that use or disclosure is necessary to deliver you our services or to fulfil obligations under this agreement, is otherwise agreed in writing between the parties, or is required by law.
Your privacy obligations
You agree to comply with the privacy principles set out in the Privacy Act 1993 as they relate to your customers. This includes notifying, and receiving terms and conditions consent form, your customers when you intend to store and/or use their personal information. Personal information includes payment details (such as credit card details like credit card number, CVV and expiry date), whether or not those details are encrypted, tokenised or otherwise obfuscated.
Protecting your privacy
This privacy policy sets out the type of information we collect, how we use it and whom we may share it with. It may be amended from time to time and a current version is available here. This Privacy policy does not include any privacy policy related to our partners or third party service providers who may have a role in delivering our services to you (e.g. payment processors, CDN providers)
Scan d Order privacy policy is limited to the personal information gathered and processed through the system and shall not cover and protect any disclosure or abuse of your personal information which may be accessible or available to public or to be obtained by any other source rather than Scan d Order.
By using or accessing the Scan d Order Platform in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you hereby consent that we will collect, use, and share your information in the following ways. Remember that your use of Scan d Order Platform is at all times subject to the Terms of Use, which incorporates this Privacy Policy. Any terms we use in this Policy without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Terms of Service.
This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") that we gather when you are accessing or using the Scan d Order Platform, but not to the practices of companies we don’t own or control, or people that we don’t manage. Information We Collect
We ask for and collect the following personal information about you when you use the Scan d Order Platform. This information is necessary for the adequate performance of the contract between you and us and to allow us to comply with our legal obligations. Without it, we may not be able to provide you with all the requested services.
• Account Information. When you sign up for a Scan d Order Account, we require certain information such as your first name, last name, and email address.
• Profile and Restaurant Information. To use certain features of the Scan d Order Platform (such as creating your account), we may ask you to provide additional information, which may include your address, and phone number.
• Payment Information. To use certain features of the Scan d Order Platform (such as using the admin panel), we may require you to provide certain financial information (like your bank account or credit card information) in order to facilitate the processing of payments through online payment gateway.
Information you choose to give us.
You may choose to provide us with additional personal information in order to obtain a better user experience when using Scan d Order Platform. This additional information will be processed based on our legitimate interest or when applicable, your consent.
• Additional Profile Information. You may choose to provide additional information as part of your Scan d Order profile (such as gender, preferred language(s), city, and a personal description). Some of this information as indicated in your Account settings is part of your public profile page, and will be publicly visible to others.
Information We Automatically Collect from Your Use of the Scan d Order Platform
When you use the Scan d Order Platform, we automatically collect personal information about the services you use and how you use them. This information is necessary for the adequate performance of the contract between you and us, to enable us to comply with legal obligations and given our legitimate interest in being able to provide and improve the functionalities of the Scan d Order Platform.
• Geo-location Information. When you use certain features of the Scan d Order Platform, we may collect information about your precise or approximate location as determined through data such as your IP address or mobile device’s GPS to offer you an improved user experience. Most mobile devices allow you to control or disable the use of location services for applications in the device’s settings menu. Scan d Order may also collect this information even when you are not using the app if this connection is enabled through your settings or device permissions.
• Usage Information. We collect information about your interactions with the Scan d Order Platform such as the pages or content you view, your searches for our Partner Restaurants, order you have made, and other actions on the Scan d Order Platform.
• Log Data and Device Information. We automatically collect log data and device information when you access and use the Scan d Order Platform, even if you have not created an Scan d Order Account or logged in. That information includes, among other things: details about how you’ve used the Scan d Order Platform (including if you clicked on links to third party applications), IP address, access dates and times, hardware and software information, device information, device event information, unique identifiers, crash data, cookie data, and the pages you’ve viewed or engagedwith before or after using the Scan d Order Platform.
• Cookies and Similar Technologies. We use cookies and other similar technologies when you use our platform, use our mobile app, or engage with our online ads or email communications. We may collect certain information by automated means using technologies such as cookies, web beacons, pixels, browser analysis tools, server logs, and mobile identifiers. Information We Collect from Third Parties.
Scan d Order may collect information, including personal information, that others provide about you when they use the Scan d Order Platform, or obtain information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through the Scan d Order Platform. We do not control, supervise or respond for how the third parties providing your information process your Personal Information, and any information request regarding the disclosure of your personal information to us should be directed to such third parties.
Third Party Services - If you link, connect, or login to your Scan d Order Account with a third party service (e.g. Google, Facebook), the third party service may send us information such as your registration, friends list, and profile information from that service. This information varies and is controlled by that service or as authorized by you via your privacy settings at that service.
How We Use Information We Collect
We may use, store, and process personal information to (1) provide, understand, improve, and develop the Scan d Order Platform, (2) create and maintain a trusted and safer environment (such as to comply with our legal obligations and ensure compliance with the Terms) and (3) provide, personalize, measure, and improve our advertising and marketing.
